Bookings When making arrangements by telephone or letter to engage a Demonstrator, Judge, Speaker or Tutor, it is essential to discuss fully the details of the fee, flower allowance, expenses, travel etc. If acceptable, confirm by sending the booking form which gives these details with the date, time and place of the meeting, together with telephone numbers and addresses of two committee members.
Three weeks before the date of the meeting a reminder should be sent, together with instructions for finding the venue, its postcode and telephone number and a contact number in case of last-minute emergency.
Demonstrators, Judges, Speakers and Tutors are reminded of their obligation to fulfil engagements as agreed on the Booking Form. If cancellation is unavoidable, they are expected to offer the Club a substitute of equal standard, after consultation with the Club. In the case of sudden illness, the Club will be responsible for finding a substitute.
Definition of an Open Meeting: An Open Meeting which is advertised, and tickets are sold on the open market.
